Rick Santorum: Left uses college for "indoctrination"
"If they taught Judeo-Christian principles in those colleges and universities, they would be stripped of every dollar. If they teach radical secular ideology, they get all the government support that they can possibly give them. Because you know 62 percent of children who enter college with a faith conviction leave without it."
If they would just stay away from those pesky critical thinking courses, the world would be a much more religious (and presumably) better place. Just ask the guys from the crusades. That was a great time to be alive!
So this guy is complaining that "children" enter college with their faith intact and then are taught to THINK and ask questions...
ReplyDeleteYeah, maybe churches should do a better job of teaching why their faith is SOUND and then it wouldn't be such a problem.
ReplyDeleteI've got a lot of school under my belt and I know there were never any classes on "why you should stop being Christian..." like he seems to be implying.
Even the critical thinking and logic classes (at my admittedly conservative college) steered clear of religious issues when discussing logical fallacies. It's just very easy to see how the foundation faith relies on pretty much every single fallacy.
Beware the liberal agenda! Education for the masses? GASP! But then they'll think for themselves! How will we ever control them???
